The CILIP Employer Partner Scheme is our organisational membership offering for employers


The CILIP Employer Partner Scheme is a cost-effective way to:

We offer three levels of membership:

Standard Plus

Our Standard Plus level includes webinars for all staff, discounts on CILIP conferences and training for all staff, two individual CILIP memberships, one place at the annual Employers Forum, badging, organisational access to the PKSB and a 10% discount on recruitment advertising. It also includes a 10% discount on CILIP individual membership for all staff.

Premium

This level is a tailored offering which typically includes five individual CILIP memberships, two places at the annual Employers Forum, recognition on the CILIP website and account management with an annual meeting.

Like the Standard Plus Scheme, It includes webinars for all staff, discounts on CILIP training and conferences, organisational access to the PKSB and a 15% discount on recruitment advertising.

Value

This level provides many of the benefits of the Standard Plus Employer Partner Scheme. The key differences are:

  • It includes only one CILIP individual membership
  • It does not include a 10% discount on CILIP individual membership for all your staff
  • It does not include a 10% discount on recruitment advertising
  • It does not include any badging.
  • This level is well suited to smaller organisations.

Annual Employers Forum

Access board-level knowledge and share your expertise with peers across all industry sectors at our Forums.

These are a one-day workshop preceded by an optional library tour and followed by optional networking drinks. 

Areas examined in the forums have included:

  • Attracting a diverse workforce and being an inclusive employer
  • Demonstrating impact and value

Annual Knowledge Exchange

  • 90-minute online event with a presentation and discussion in breakout rooms.

Topics have included:

  • The opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence
  • Creating a culture of good mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Brexit, data protection and intellectual property rights


3. Provide you with opportunities to shape the sector

Annual Employer Partner-Information Schools Forum Your opportunity to provide feedback to all the Information Schools in a single session. What skills will you be seeking in the future? How well equipped are today’s recently-qualified staff? This takes place during the Annual Employers Forum.

Who can join as an Employer Partner?

We will work with employers in any sector that are in good legal standing, share our mission to “put library and information skills and professional values at the heart of an equal, democratic and prosperous society” and commit to uphold the values set out in our Ethical Framework.

Under section 57 of the 2010 Equalities Act (regarding 'Trade organisations' including professional bodies) we have a legal duty to ensure that all practitioners in our sector have equal opportunity to engage with our community of practice and benefit from our professional development support, whatever the governance model of the institution for which they work.
